Master Kyung Wan Ryu

Master Ryu came to America in 1995 to share Taekwondo with the people of the U.S. After working at a few schools he opened his own in 1999. Ryu's Martial Arts has been in Lynbrook, NY for over 10 years and has established itself as a main attraction in the town.

In 2004 Master Ryu recieved his 6th Degree Black Belt from Kukkiwon (The World Taekwondo Head Quarters). Next in 2005 Master Ryu became a member of the U.S. Hong-Ik Taekwondo Association and in 2006 he even Hosted the 2nd Hong-Ik Taekwondo Championship at Queens College in Flushing NY.

Master Ryu has over 30 years of experience in the practice of Tae Kwon Do. He has been teaching students martial arts for over 20 years.
